Balanced · Humane · Individual

Training Method

Respect for each dog’s individuality, with clear boundaries and expectations. Grounded in canine psychology and physical wellness, and built to keep working once your dog comes home.

Step 01

Evaluate

Every dog starts as an individual, not a package.

Samantha learns your dog’s history, temperament, triggers and your goals before recommending anything. Enrollment is limited on purpose, so each plan is built for one dog and one family.

Step 02

Structure

Eat. Play. Train. Repeat.

Board & train dogs live on a calm, predictable rhythm. Structure lowers stress, builds impulse control and makes every training session count.

Step 03

Communicate

Balanced and humane: rewards and clear, fair boundaries.

Food, toys and praise mark what’s right. Fair, consistent boundaries mark what isn’t. Tools like the e-collar, slip lead and place cot are introduced carefully and used to communicate, not to intimidate.

Step 04

Proof

If it only works in the living room, it isn’t trained.

Skills get tested where life happens: storefronts, parks, patios and around other dogs and people, until your dog is reliable in public too.

Step 05

Hand off, for life

You learn it too, and Samantha stays in your corner.

Pickup includes a hands-on go-home lesson so the results carry over to your house. Your tools go home with you, and refresher sessions are free for the life of your dog.

What guides every session

Four Principles

  • Clear communication

The dog always knows what’s being asked, and what earns the reward.

  • Fairness

Corrections are proportionate, consistent and never emotional.

  • Accountability

Owners learn the same handling, so there’s no gap between trainer and family.

  • Consistency

The same rules at home, in the car and downtown.

Tools, used fairly

The Tools Go Home With You

Tools are only as fair as the hands holding them. Your dog learns with them at Samantha’s, and you learn them at pickup, so there’s no gap between the trainer and the family.

E-collar
A remote communication tool, introduced carefully and paired with rewards. Included with both 4-week programs, and you’re taught to use it fairly at pickup.
Slip lead
Simple, precise leash communication for walking and handling. Included with both 4-week programs.
Place cot
A raised bed that gives your dog a job: settle here and relax. It’s the backbone of calm at home and comes with the Advanced program.
